Privacy notice

Who this notice is from

This site is run by Eman Ashfaq, an online dietitian practising by video and WhatsApp. There is no clinic and no physical premises.

Eat With Eman is operated by Eman Ashfaq as a sole proprietor. She is the person responsible for this site and for anything set out in this notice.

Questions about this notice can be sent by Instagram DM or WhatsApp, using the links on the contact page. There is no separate privacy address, because the site holds nothing to ask about — see what is collected.

What this site collects

No personal details. Nothing on this site asks for your name, your email address, your phone number or anything else about you. The one place you can type anything is the BMI calculator under Tools, and what you type there is worked out in your own browser and never sent — there is no button that submits it and no server that receives it. There is no account to create and no login. Nothing you read here is attached to a person.

Pages are counted — see visitor statistics below for exactly what that means and what it does not. There is no advertising script anywhere, no tracking pixel, and no cookie set by this site or by the counting. Reading a page and leaving adds one to a number, and leaves no record of you.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives each request in order to answer it, and it keeps its own operational logs and may set its own cookies for security and network purposes. That is Cloudflare's processing under its own terms, not something this site asks for.

From those logs Cloudflare produces aggregate statistics about the site — how many requests it served, which pages were busiest, which countries they came from — and Eman can see those.

Visitor statistics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. A small script runs while a page is open and reports that the page was viewed, along with how quickly it loaded. Cloudflare adds that to a count.

What it records is the page, the referring site if you arrived from one, your browser and device type, and your country. Your IP address is used to work out that country and is not stored.

What it does not do is the part worth being specific about. It sets no cookies. It stores nothing on your device — no localStorage, nothing to clear afterwards. It does not fingerprint your browser, does not give you an identifier that follows you between visits, and cannot follow you to any other website. There is no profile of you, here or anywhere, and nothing that could be joined up with a message you send Eman later.

Eman sees the totals: which articles get read, roughly where readers are. That is the whole of it, and it is why this site has no cookie banner — there are no cookies to ask you about.

Embedded video

Where a page shows one of Eman's videos, what loads first is only a still image from YouTube's image server. The player itself loads nothing until you tap it, and when you do, it loads from YouTube's no-cookie embed domain rather than the ordinary one. From the moment you press play, YouTube is receiving the request and its own privacy policy applies to it.

Some links lead off this site — to Instagram, to YouTube, to WhatsApp, and to the free menu, which is hosted on Google Drive. Once you follow one of them you are on someone else's service, under their privacy terms and not these.

When you contact Eman

Getting in touch happens on Instagram or WhatsApp, because this site has no contact form. Those messages live on those platforms and are covered by their privacy terms, not by this notice. What you choose to tell Eman in a message — including anything about your health — you are sending to her through Meta's service, so share only what you are comfortable sending that way. She keeps client information confidential; the platform carrying it is outside both her control and this site's.

Changes

If this site ever starts collecting anything — a booking form, a sign-up, an analytics tool — this notice is updated before it goes live, and the date at the top changes with it.
